Dr. Robert Long

Before becoming an implant dentist, Dr. Robert Long lived with a severe nine-millimeter underbite that made everyday moments quietly difficult. He couldn’t bite into a sandwich, avoided photos, and reflexively hid his smile. Double jaw surgery changed everything, not just his ability to eat, but his confidence and how he engaged with the world. That personal experience gave him a firsthand understanding of the fear, discomfort, and life-changing potential his patients face every day.

Dr. Long pursued some of the most rigorous implant training available in the country. He earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry, then completed a hospital-based general practice residency at the Dental College of Georgia at Augusta University under internationally recognized specialists. Since then, he has accumulated over 600 hours of implant-specific continuing education, completed the AAID MaxiCourse, and trained through ORCAA, widely regarded as the premier full arch training program in the world.

His practice philosophy centers on quality over quantity. Rather than offering general dentistry, Dr. Long focuses exclusively on implant dentistry and full-mouth restoration, where dedicated expertise produces better long-term outcomes. He takes a selective approach to patient acceptance, viewing full arch treatment as a long-term relationship that requires the right fit, and he refers complex cases outside his scope to trusted specialist colleagues rather than taking on work beyond his expertise.
